I’m a Brazilian writer currently living in Portugal. I’m autistic, multilingual, and can’t help noticing patterns everywhere. I write in English and Portuguese and am very interested in transformation: what happens when a character is put under pressure? I explore many genres, and my voice moves from tender and caring to brutal and violent, sometimes in the same piece, but I’m always honest.
When I’m not writing, I work with my hands: furniture restoration, my old truck, embroidery — whatever catches my fancy.
Sou um escritor brasileiro atualmente vivendo em Portugal. Sou autista, multilíngue, e não consigo evitar perceber padrões em tudo. Eu escrevo em inglês e em português, e me interesso muito por transformação: o que acontece quando um personagem é colocado sob pressão? Eu exploro diversos gêneros, e minha voz se move de tenra e carinhosa a brutal e violenta, às vezes na mesma obra, mas sou sempre honesto.
Quando não estou escrevendo, trabalho com as mãos: restauro de móveis, minha caminhonete antiga, bordado — o que atrair minha atenção.
